I’m Back!!

Hey friends!

I have decided to resurrect my blog after 1.5 years and I honestly can’t believe it’s been that long!

Lots has happened since my last blog post in April of 2023!

Ryan and I sold my townhome and bought our own 1935 fixer upper. So far, we’ve renovated our master bedroom, full bathroom, front porch and porch ceiling. took down trees, painted the whole exterior, and installed a backyard fence.

We got engaged, got married, and honeymooned in the Dominican Republic.

Ryan accepted a new job with a different brewery.

I quit my job as the Operations Manager for Blowing Rock Brewing to pursue my real estate license, which I am close to being done with.

My goal this year is to really come into who I want to be as a wife, daughter, sister, and friend.

I turn 30 next month and I am so excited for this next decade! It truly feels like I can settle into the life I’ve always dreamed of for myself.

Things that I am very focused on this year include: advancing my career, growing in my marriage, cooking, reading, spending as much time with my friend group as I can, saying ‘yes’ more often but also saying ‘no’ to things that don’t serve me or my family, become more health/ingredient conscious, scaling back the drinking habits I created in my 20s, and last but not least, traveling as much as I can!

This blog was originally meant for reviewing books after I had read them, but I would like to pivot as I start new this year and say that this blog is now meant for anything I find interesting and would like to share. It will be used as a way for me to express myself, improve my writing skills, encourage me to read and learn more, and to hopefully create a community by doing so.

So, I hope that whatever stage of life you’re in, whatever age you are, whatever your interests are that I can somehow relate to you or encourage you to try something new!

I don’t have a set schedule of when I will publish a new post, but my initial goal is to post twice a week or more if I find the time!
